The project titled "Production of Biofertilizer to be Applied with Rice Straw Waste for Soil Improvement and Increasing Yield in Rice Production," managed by Prof. Dr. Nüzhet Cenk Sesal from the Department of Biology at Marmara University's Faculty of Science, has been granted support under the "TÜBİTAK-TAGEM 1003 Agricultural Research Joint Call."
Within the scope of the call, it was reported that fertilizer production technologies are a priority R&D and innovation topic in the soil and plant nutrition category, one of the priority areas in the agriculture and food sector. This project focuses on developing microbial fertilizer production technologies aimed at increasing the efficiency and durability of plant nutrient carrier materials suitable for our country's soil and ecological conditions, developing fertilizer production technologies related to the recycling of waste, and producing microbial fertilizers in suitable formulations from existing local isolates.
