The Marmara University Senate is the university's academic body and makes decisions regarding the principles of education, scientific research, and publication activities. It also prepares draft laws and regulations that concern the University as a whole or provides opinions. It prepares regulations concerning the university or its units, which, after approval by the Rector, will be published in the Official Gazette and enter into force.
