TÜBİTAK-TAGEM 1003 Project Success from our University's Faculty of Science

The project titled "Production of Biofertilizer to be Applied with Rice Straw Waste for Soil Improvement and Increasing Yield in Rice Production," managed by Prof. Dr. Nüzhet Cenk Sesal from the Department of Biology at Marmara University's Faculty of Science, has been granted support under the "TÜBİTAK-TAGEM 1003 Agricultural Research Joint Call."

Value-Added Advanced Nanotechnological Materials and Systems for a Sustainable Circular Economy: Ligno-NANO


The project titled “Production of Advanced Materials with Increased Efficiency by Evaluating Lignocellulosic Raw Materials and Wastes”, led by Prof. Dr. Ahu Altınkut Uncuoğlu, Faculty Member of the Bioengineering Department of Marmara University Engineering Faculty, has been awarded support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1004 Center of Excellence Support Program. The aim of the project is to develop high value-added nanomaterials with original material synthesis and processing approaches from sustainable cheap resources and to provide sustainable and cheap alternatives to diodes and glass substrates used in flexible OLED technology.

Prof. Dr. Burcu OKTAY is the researcher, has been awarded support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK-1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.

TÜBİTAK Project Success from the Environmental Engineering Department

We are pleased to announce that the project titled "Development and Application of Remote Sensing Methods for Detecting Biogas/Methane Leaks in Solid Waste Landfills," led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sedat Yalçınkaya from the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Marmara University, has been granted support under the TÜBİTAK 1001 R&D Support Program. The project team includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sadullah Levent Kuzu from the Department of Environmental Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and Dr. Özgün Yücel from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Gebze Technical University as researchers.

Marmara University Researchers’  Great Success  in the Field of "Connected Autonomous Vehicles"

Assoc. Prof. Müjdat Soytürk, Marmara University Faculty of Engineering Department of Computer Engineering and Manager of MInD-NET laboratory and VeNIT Research Group, and his research team developed “Digital Twin Platform”, with the contribution of the R&D projects with a total budget of 250 million Euros and Marmara University budget of 2 million Euros in the field of Artificial Intelligence-Communication (5G) -Connected Vehicles, within the scope of the European Union's H2020-ECSEL calls.
