Ethics Committee
The Ethics Committees within Marmara University work to ensure that analyses, investigations and research requiring the collection of data and samples from people, including surveys, research, examinations, experimental analyses, field studies, etc., are carried out under universally accepted ethical principles and laws that respect personal rights and freedoms. For this reason, it is aimed that the research to be researched and analyzed is carried out within the framework of universal research ethics without negatively affecting the physical, social and mental health of the participants.
Marmara University examines Research Ethics Committees under many branches and different faculties and institutes. These are divided into many branches under the basic fields of Social, Human and Engineering.

Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry Clinical Related Studies Ethics Committee aims to protect the welfare and rights of all individuals participating in human research. In order to achieve excellence in human research; It provides timely and quality support and guidance services to all researchers through education, review and monitoring. Our ethics committee's areas of responsibility are determined based on the relevant laws, regulations and our university policies. Following your application, your project will be subject to a preliminary review by the Ethics Committee Secretariat. In order for the ethics committee to evaluate your project, all forms must be delivered to the Ethics Committee Secretariat in full before the application deadline. Then, your study will be forwarded to the ethics committee for review.

Experimental Animals Application and Research Center (DEHAMER)
The Cosmetic Clinical Research Ethics Committee, which was aimed to be established under the roof of universities within the scope of the “Regulation on Efficacy and Safety Studies and Clinical Research of Cosmetic Products or Raw Materials” prepared by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency and published in the Official Gazette dated September 20, 2015, was established within our University and approved by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency on February 1, 2016. Our ethics committee, which will start its activities as the Marmara University Cosmetic Clinical Research Ethics Committee, will evaluate the study or research protocol, design and suitability of the study or research, inclusion and exclusion criteria of volunteers, suitability of researchers, adequacy of the places where the study or research will be conducted, and the methods and documents to be used in informing the volunteers, as well as the consents to be obtained from these individuals and other issues related to the study or research in terms of clinical and ethical aspects in order to protect the rights, health and safety of the volunteers who will participate in the study or research within the scope of the relevant regulation provisions and principles, and to ensure that the study or research is conducted and followed up in accordance with the legislation.
