Tracking Access Measures

Marmara University systematically monitors women's access to higher education to support gender equality in academia. Within this scope, the university regularly measures and tracks women’s admission or entry rates as well as education completion (graduation) rates. The data obtained serve as key indicators in evaluating equal opportunities in women’s access to higher education and their academic achievement levels.

The gender distribution of enrolled and graduated students is as follows:

According to 2023 data, female students at Marmara University have higher access and completion rates in higher education compared to male students. Women constitute approximately 57% of university entrants, while men account for 43%. Among graduates, women represent 58%, and men 42%. These figures indicate that female students maintain a strong level of persistence and success in higher education, reflecting the positive impact of Marmara University’s gender equality-oriented policies.
